Here are ten things an OKR champion can do to increase check-ins on OKRs (Objectives and Key Results):
Educate
Educate teams and individuals about the importance of regular check-ins on OKRs and how they can help them achieve their goals.
Set Expectations
Set clear expectations for how often check-ins should happen and who should be involved in the process.
Guide
Provide guidance and support to teams and individuals on how to effectively conduct check-ins, including how to track progress and identify challenges.
Create a safe space
Encourage open communication and collaboration during check-ins, so that everyone can contribute their ideas and insights. Create a positive and supportive atmosphere during check-ins, so that teams and individuals feel comfortable sharing their progress and challenges.
Give feedback
Provide regular feedback and support during check-ins, so that teams and individuals can learn from their experiences and make adjustments as needed.
Track, Measure and Reward
Create a system for tracking and monitoring check-ins, so that you can easily see who has completed their check-ins and who might need additional support. Recognize and reward teams and individuals who consistently participate in check-ins and make progress against their OKRs.
Discuss and resolve issues
Address any challenges or obstacles that teams and individuals are facing during check-ins, so that they can overcome them and continue making progress. Continually improve the check-in process based on feedback and experience, so that it remains effective and relevant for teams and individuals.
An OKR champion with support from the leadership team can play a critical role in the adoption of OKRs and increasing check-ins on OKRs by providing support, guidance, and encouragement to teams and individuals, and by fostering a positive and collaborative culture of goal-setting and continuous improvement.
